Self-harm among adolescents represents a significant mental health concern that requires comprehensive understanding for effective intervention development. This quantitative study examined the relationships between self-esteem, body image, and self-harm tendencies among secondary school students. Using a total sampling methodology, 65 students from State Senior High School 1 Sungai Penuh completed validated questionnaires measuring self-esteem, body image, and self-harm behaviours. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to assess the predictive relationships between variables. Results indicated that self-esteem and body image combined explained 44.4% of the variance in self-harm behaviours (R² = 0.444), with both independent variables showing significant collective influence on self-harm tendencies. The remaining 55.6% of variance suggests the involvement of additional psychological, environmental, and contextual factors not captured in this study. These findings underscore the importance of developing comprehensive counseling and mental health interventions that address self-esteem enhancement and body image acceptance as preventive strategies for self-harm among adolescents. Implications for school-based guidance and counseling programs are discussed

This study aims to examine the influence of Body Image on Self Confidenceamong students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Jakarta. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with simple linear regression analysis, data were collected from 111 eighth-grade students through questionnaires measuring Body Image and self-confidence. The results showed a significant positive relationship between Body Image and Self Confidence(p < 0.05), with a regression coefficient of 0.789 and an R² value of 0.493. This indicates that 49.3% of the variation in Self Confidenceis influenced by Body Image. The findings suggest that students with a more positive Body Image tend to have higher levels of self-confidence. The study highlights the importance of implementing guidance and counseling services in schools to support students' personal development, particularly in strengthening Self Confidencethrough Body Image awareness.

Academic stress and mental health issues among students are crucial issues that affect academic performance and overall psychological well-being. This study aims to analyze the role of student-centered classroom management strategies in managing academic stress and improving students' mental health. Using a literature review method, this study analyzes various theoretical and empirical sources related to stress factors, psychological impacts, and interventions in classroom management. The study shows that the use of an authoritarian approach and external pressure actually worsens students' mental health. On the other hand, a student-centered classroom management approach that focuses on autonomy, emotional support, and cooperative interaction has been proven effective in reducing stress levels. The use of practical techniques such as mindfulness and the development of adaptive coping strategies in the classroom are recommended as preventive and curative measures for educators to build a healthy and supportive learning environment.

The growing narratives of pain, distrust, and "numbness" post-relationship among young adults, largely reinforced by social media, inspire this research. This qualitative descriptive study aimed to understand factors that perpetuate post-relationship suffering in young adult women using the lens of cognitive behavioral counseling therapy. This research uses a narrative qualitative approach with four female participants aged 18-25 years in Siulak District, Kerinci Regency, who have experienced suffering following a romantic breakup and actively consume emotional content on social media. The data were collected through in-depth interviews and by observing the participants’ digital activity in public content on TikTok and Instagram. The results of the research suggest that discomfort persists via cognitive distortion, social retreat, and emotional reinforcement through the recurrent intake of digital content. The research suggests that social media is not just a location for emotional affirmation but can also preserve a wounded identity. The results suggest the importance of the counseling sincere strategy based on CBT and digital emotional literacy.

Masa remaja merupakan fase transisi penting yang dipenuhi dengan berbagai tekanan perkembangan, tuntutan akademik, dan penyesuaian sosial. Kemampuan remaja dalam menghadapi tekanan tersebut secara positif sangat ditentukan oleh strategi koping yang diterapkan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika koping adaptif pada remaja dengan memfokuskan kajian pada faktor-faktor penentu yang memengaruhinya serta dampak nyata dari penerapan koping adaptif terhadap kesejahteraan remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) terhadap berbagai literatur ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan remaja dan psikologi coping dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan koping adaptif pada remaja dipengaruhi oleh interaksi faktor internal, seperti regulasi emosi, efikasi diri, dan resiliensi, serta faktor eksternal berupa dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman sebaya, dan iklim sekolah. Dampak penerapan koping adaptif terbukti mampu meningkatkan kesehatan mental, harga diri, kemampuan penyesuaian sosial, serta mengoptimalkan motivasi dan prestasi akademik remaja. Rekomendasi program intervensi bimbingan dan konseling turut dibahas sebagai upaya memperkuat strategi koping adaptif di lingkungan lembaga pendidikan.
